Shishir Kulkarni
Born in New Delhi, Shishir Kulkarni grew up in various cities in India. He has studied in Pune. After a short stint in sales, he moved on to media space where he has worked with various production houses for a wide range of television shows. Later on, he started independent filmmaking and has produced and directed many corporate films and documentaries. He also worked as a supervisory producer for an educational channel, handling 5 programs focused on information technology.
Shishir Kulkarni has successfully produced and directed several television shows for leading TV stations in India including the first of its kind live dial-in quiz show ‘Dial One Aur Jeeto’ which generated a recording breaking average of 750,000 dial ins and SMSes per show. The show was nominated for the ‘Best Quiz show’ by Indian Television Awards in 2005. He has initiated the foray into film production for Cogito with ‘Jhing Chik Jhing’ as their first Marathi feature film. A true people’s person, he has a great knack of understanding people and thus is able to successfully lead a team. His normal day starts with music and also ends with music.
Pushpank Gawde
Pushpank began his career as assistant to Sanjay Jadhav on a Marathi teleserial – Aabhalmaya . He has worked on a number of teleserials as Director of Photography(D.O.P.) Sonpari (Hindi) one of his projects, was awarded the ‘Best Children’s Programme’ and ‘Best Visual effects’ by the Indian Telly Awards. Pushpank has also worked on Ssh…Koi Hai , Sanskriti and Remix all of which have been popular. He has worked as D.O.P. on Waadalwat (Lang: Marathi), for which he was awarded the Maharashtra Times Sanmaan Awards in 2004 for ‘Best Cameraman’. He has worked on feature films, one of them being Sanai Chaughade (Lang: Marathi) with Mukta Arts (production house). His received the award for ‘Best Shot Short Film’ from Broadcast India in 2007 for his project Nidra.
Before partnering in Cogito TV, Harini worked with the Zee Network for 10 years, where she was instrumental in setting up the music (Music Asia) and educational (Zed TV) channels. During the course of her tenure she developed, produced and directed a number of programs and projects. These include the landmark A To Z of Computers program – that spawned a whole franchise network, The Zed Bajaj Auto Clinic that brought contemporary training techniques to roadside mechanics and The Grand Tour of the Internet that worked with corporate giant Intel to spread Internet awareness.
She has an Honors Degree in Economics from the University of London and a Masters in Communication Policy Studies from City University, London. She is passionate about photography, social media, writing and also teaches in Sophia College in Mumbai.
Shirish Raut
In his 12-year career in the media industry, Shirish has worked on almost all electronic & print media – Press, Television, Internet. He is a qualified civil engineer but later switched to be part of the media by taking up a Masters course in Media Management, from the Mudra Institute of Communication.
In his media career, he has been involved in the setting up of www.zeenext.com, a Bangalore based Internet division of the Zee Network. He was also involved with the first online streaming of the Zee Cine Awards & setting up the Zee News website. He represented Zee network at the MIPCOMM, International Television Festival at Cannes. When he’s not at work he likes preparing a yummy meal for his wife and his friends say he’s especially good at making potato salad and strawberry soufflé.
